Mike Appelton - CEO (Founder)

Pro Farm Energy Inc. is a leading developer of agricultural land backed energy crop projects in North America. Mike has over 12 years of experience serving the banking and power market industries. He has an extensive track record in financial and lending environments including Bruce Power, GE Capital and TD Bank. The majority of his career was spent with GE Capital in Canada and Australia where he held positions of increasing responsibility in sales, credit risk and portfolio management. Mike has worked on transactions in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia. In his last role with GE Capital he was responsible for structuring transactions totalling in excess of $500 million annually. Mike holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University in Hamilton Canada and a Masters of Applied Finance from Macquarie University in Sydney Australia.

Mark Thiessen - President (Founder)

Pro Farm Energy Inc. is a leading developer of agricultural land backed energy crop projects in North America. Mark brings 25 years of experience owning and operating businesses and most recently sold a successful e-commerce company delivering flowers and gifts produced on his and many other family farms. Past President of Flowers Canada Inc., an industry organization serving the political and regulatory needs of flower growers across Canada. During the past 2 years, Mark has been focussed on researching technologies and systems that can be profitably deployed to produce electricity and heat using purpose grown energy crops for fuel. Mark was educated in Commerce and Horticulture Science at University of Guelph and resides with his wife and two children in Leamington, Ontario.

Robert Macdonald - Advisory Board

Mr. Macdonald serves as Managing Director & Chairman of AgriFood Capital Corporation and is responsible for the development and supervision of AFCC's initial capitalization efforts. Robert was the Founder and President of Afton Food Group and its' predecessor companies, companies involved in the food services industry which grew from a standing start to in excess of 180 million dollars in system sales per annum. He has significant experience in both franchising and real estate industries. He also has substantial experience in mergers and acquisitions and personally directed capital raises in excess of 50 million dollars. Robert is the President of Contrac Marketing, a past Director of Skor Food Service Ltd. (SKF. V) and the Chairman of eDiscovery Solutions Inc. Robert has also acted as an investor or director in several private companies that subsequently were taken public on the TSX.V by completing Qualifying Transactions (QT) with TSX.V listed CPC(Capital Pool Companies). Robert was educated in Commerce and Agriculture at McGill University and resides in Burlington, Ontario.

William McClounie - Advisory Board

Mr. McClounie serves as Chief Operating Officer of Agri-Food Capital Corp (AFCC) a Guelph, Ontario based agriculture merchant bank. Formerly served as Vice President, Marketing and Strategic Development at ACC Farmers' Financial (ACC) and has been intimately involved in the expansion and diversity of the organization. Prior to his involvement with ACC, William worked for the Ontario Wheat Producers Marketing Board quickly reaching the position of General Manager. The position was responsible for the management of a $350 million per annum wheat sales agency with a rapid expansion of marketing programs and risk management options for farmers. William was educated at University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus and gained a Six Sigma Black Belt Degree through the Schulich School of Business, York University.

Jeff Kelly, CA - Advisor

Mr. Kelly graduated from the University of Windsor in 1987 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990. He has also completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Course. He joined a local firm in Leamington in 1993 after seven years in the tax service area of one of the large accounting firms in Windsor. He became a partner with the Leamington firm in 1996. The five partner Leamington firm joined the Collins Barrow association in 2002. Jeff is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. He has served as a sessional instructor in income tax for the University of Windsor and for the Certified General Accountants Association. Jeff has a wide base of experience with Canadian income tax law and provides services for a broad range of clients in the farming, fishing, greenhouse, automotive, manufacturing, real estate and service industries.

New Energy Farms Ltd.

Peter Korth - Advisory Board

Mr. Korth is President and founder of Lake Point Energy, which develops and finances clean tech businesses and power projects. Lake Point also advises companies, utilities, cities/towns and regional governments in the establishment and growth of their renewable projects and programs. Prior to Lake Point , Peter lead the initial public offering and management of several energy investment funds including Transalta Power LP and, as CFO, the Clean Power Income Fund, one of the first and largest pure play renewable investment funds in North America. He has developed a broad range of conventional and renewable power projects including wind, solar, biomass, biogas and hydro raising over $2 billion in financing. In addition, Peter created and managed a number of Joint Ventures and Partnerships, including an $800M offshore private equity fund for U.S. institutional investors. Earlier in Peter's career, he was responsible for business development at Magna International, and mergers and acquisitions at Indal limited, one of Canada's largest holding companies. He has also served as Director on the National Board of the Canada China Business Council, and is currently on the board of the non-profit Community Power Fund, which assists and supports the development and financing of Ontario community based renewable power projects.
